Turbo Bearings Noise on Startup

Hello -

I am new to this group and apologize for becoming a newbie. I know in the areas I am an expert in the newbies can be harder to manage sometimes.

I have a 92 GSX with all upgraded mods... probably considered the Stage 1 on this site although I have done some additional stage 2 items.

Lately, especially in the morning, when I start up the car it makes a sound for a second or two that sounds like the bearings are spinning and have no lubrication on them. I fear my turbo will be damaged if I let this continue... is this a normal thing??

What can I do to fix it?

Well, I believe I figured this issue out. It appears that it is the alternator that is making the messed up bearing sounds and not the turbo. PHEW!

i guess you have it figured out.. but i was gonna suggest that your starter solenoid wasn't disengaging like mine...

hey I have a problem too when I start my car, for the first few seconds after I start my car after leaving outside in the cold overnight it makes a ticking noise somewhere on the passenger side in the engine bay. I'm not exactly sure what it is because I have a lot of noises that come from my car but I figured most of them out and they aren't a big deal....just stuff rubbing together like my fog light and bumper.
