tuning with translator and afc?

i already have the afc hooked up and im putting the translator in today can anybody help to clear how i should set the intial settings on both. i assume i should dial in the translator settings first but how do i compnsate the afc after words? please help thanks !

The translator should come with a sheet that gives you suggested settings for different injector sizes. Set the MAFT that way, zero out the SAFC, and tune from there.

If you have 450's, then just zero both out and tune on the SAFC.

What he said! Zero out the safc, set up the maft to whatever injectors you are running. Log it, and some fine tuning can be done via the safc; ie. take out a little fuel here at 3000rpm, at a little here at 5000rpm.

I’m currently working on my set up and my plans is to run the GM MAFT but tune with my AFC. I want to vent my BOV so that’s one of the reasons i want to go with the GM MAFT. My set up is big 16g ported, 190lhp, 550cc, MAFT, and AFC. So can i just zero out the MAFT and tune with the AFC? Sorry for jacking your thread
