Hello guys, first off i got my dsmlink a while ago and i would like to start tuning the car. the problem is that im not really familiar with tuning LOL. i called some shops 3d motorsports and sublime auto and they either dont street tune or they only work with aem. Im a little broke to take it to the dyno at exessive at SD rn.

Im located in grand island NE so if someone would like to help out msg me and we can arrange something obviously someone experienced or i would rather try it myself LOL

i have a few questions though...
1. There's a guy who tunes civics here in my area he's really good! Is it the same principal with tuning dsm's? If so he would be able to do it right?

2. Also i installed my wideband while i didnt have link i remembered i used this thread...
http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/ho...-2g-turbo-in-place-of-stock-o2-sensor.432222/
The thing is now that i got my ecmlink i would have to wire it differently right?

My profile should be up to date with mods and all that so if you have any other questions msg me or reply. Thanks for looking guys!

You have the option to utilize remote tuning services offered by one of the freelancers here on the forum. The tuners in the freelancer section are established members, who are paying to advertise their services here. That means you can review their feedback, and select the one who best suits you without having to worry about whether or not they can even spell ECMlink. If you're wanting to pay for a tune, I'd recommend you spend your money wisely, and select someone who specializes in remote tuning DSMs; like someone from the freelancer section: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forum/freelancer-products-services.225/

Alternatively, there's tons of free help available. View this thread, answer the questions, restate your issue, and post a log: http://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/wa...r-receive-no-replies-from-the-wisemen.443297/

Do you know if dacowgod is still doing that? Seems like a nice idea but how does remote tuning work? They send you a set up and you just do what they tell you to put? I dont get it very well haha thank you for the input

I like learning and doing stuff myself but im not really into doing it myself or atleast for the first time but i'll take a better look once i get home. But thank you it'll be helpful to give me an idea of what its like!

Tuning is easier than you think, have you taken the time to read the wiki http://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/

When I first got ECMLink V3, I was scared to do anything, but after gaining some knowledge I felt a lot more comfortable and now I tune my DSM myself.

Gotta say it's a very good feeling knowing I can make any changes in a matter of seconds.

Also I don't think anyone cares more about your DSM than you do, so take the time to learn & do it right.

If you can turn on a laptop & connect the USB cable to your OBDII port, you can tune your own car.

You'll be happy you did! Otherwise you will end up paying someone serious cash to push a few buttons on a laptop.
