Hey Guys
I have a EVO1 that I need logging, and tuning devices for. I can't find anything available for early EVO's. Its seems nothing in the US is available for EVOs before 8's. I thought It might be 1G stuff, then I thought 2G stuff, but now I hear its somewhere in between the two. I recently had it Dynoed at Pina Motorsprts down in Kent, WA. They've got a new brand new Dyno Dynamic thats really sweet! My EVO1 made 220awhp with basically intake, and exhaust on a stock tune. Not bad for the mods, and I hear the DynoDynamics power reads lower like a Mustang dynos. I'm pretty happy with the power as is, but I want more out of it, and I need to find some logging and tuning devices. Any help or info would be appreciated!
THANKS GUYS!!

Before any help is offered, I'm going to need more pictures. :) Is the ECU the same as the 1g? I thought that the EVO 1-3 had the same power train as the 1g's, so I'd imagine it would be about the same...All I can really do is speculate though.

If it's the same ECU then you could probably run DSMLink on it. Otherwise, I'm sure the SAFC could be used as it seems to be pretty universal.

I thought that evo 1-3's are just lighter faster galant vr4s which in turn are like 1gs..

please more pics

You may wish to go over to Lancer-Evo to find some additional help for specific Evolution I-III help, although forced induction tuning can easily be applied to many applications. You'll probably have to join and look through the international forums for lots of help (Australia comes to mind first - hey, at least they speak some form of english ;) ).

You can also send a PM to robevo. He's done some crazy things with this Lancer Evo III. See more in this thread.

Well that's an easy enough trade.

1G & 2G ECU are different. DSM link won't work. I've contacted them already. I hear the ECU is in between the 1G and 2G stuff, but I'm not sure what that means.

I will look at these for sure. I have been trying UK forums with a little help from them. I haven't thought of Aus forums yet. I will search those. At the moment I'm considering switching over to 1G stuff ....use the whole harness, and ECU from a 1G. That would let me use DSMlink and that would be awesome but I want to search hard for other potion before I tear everything out. I know there has to be SOME way to do it ...those rally guys back in the day tore it up in these cars and I'm sure they weren't at stock power levels.

THANKS GUYS!!!

Try getting ahold of devotuning.com. They have a wicked fast evo II and I'm sure they could help you out.

Hmm....I wonder if you could change the engine harness out for a 1g harness. I dont see why it would be a problem. But, I dont have an EVO I LOL. Im almost positive you have thought of this though.
