i unbolted the 4 bolts to the transfercase that hold it to the tranny.. i wanted to unbolt the transfer case and the driveshaft together and pull them both out.. the exhaust is completely unbolted and out of the way... question is.. can i do this myself without damaging teh driveshaft? and are the 4 bolts in the haynes manual the only bolts necessary to take the transfer case off.. if so i just unbolt the two clamps that hold the driveshaft to the chassis and pull towards the driver side of the car. any input is appreciated.

TIe up the driveshaft with wire and pry off the transfer case and put something for it to fall on. It will slide right off the driveshaft. I think there are 5 bolts to get off though not 4. One is hidden up top and a bi*** to get out. I used a 3ft extension and went though where the tire is to get to it.
Edit - Sorry Didnt realize you wanted to take out both together.
