Not to take advantage of your misfortune but anyone who wants to make a couple bucks on there blown tranny, I will give 120.00 shipped for a complete trans with no holes in the housing. If the bellhousing is damaged i will offer you 70.00 for it. I rebuild these trannys and i am running out of parts...LOL

really sucks to hear. pulling the trans is a piece of cake and once you do it once or twice, it only takes about 1-1.25 hours to pull out. If you cant get the axles out of the hub and dont have the correct puller, then unbolt the lateral arm from the subframe and the compression arm. Then unbolt the Shock wishbone from the lateral arm and you will have all the room you need to move the axles. Having a friend pull the passenger side away from the car will help when you make the move to lower it.

If you dont have the puller for the axle then dont bother tying to get it from the hub, you will just waste more time.

Cool man, Buy my Transmission! Help me start saving up for a new one!

...guess who's finally arrived ;)

I think he's bragging about getting his tranny...In which case it wouldn't be "who's" which is saying, "who is"

On another note, I get my tranny back Wed. or Thurs. CAN'T WAIT:)

You can have your thread back now haha

Does anyone know what made their ''baseball card/stick in a bike spoke'' sound yet?
Could be that one of the four bolts that hold the flexplate (which the starter engages to turn the motor over) failed and is, at times, at the bottom of the bellhousing being sawed upon by the flexplate. It can look like this:

Yeah. I lost all four of them three days after putting the engine back in for the first time in seven months. Shit happens.

That happen to me in one of my previous 1g's. I wish it were that easy. This only happends when I shift into second gear, And also when the tranny is in neutral and the car is on... You can hear what sounds like the TOB but i dont know why. Also, If I "rub" the gear shifter up against second gear "Like I was going to put it in second, But didn't push the clutch in, Sitting at a stop.. You know what i mean? You just rub the shifter against the second gear... Anyways, You can actually hear the sound even when you do that. But, when the car is actually in second gear its ALOT louder. I have the tranny sitting next to the car, On the floor now.

Wow. Might want to check those bolts next time... :thumb:

This might be what happend to mine, because when I were to let off the clutch while the car is not in gear (before it broke fully) it would make the car sound like a diseil... it was weird. But when I pressed the Clutch, it would be quiet.

Heh. They were torqued to spec properly. The key is chasing the threads with a tap and cleaning them out with brake cleaner prior to installation.
