Dogbox won't touch anything that they consider "hacked".

my car was hacked but they fixed it then it broke again its not that they wont touch anythign that they think is hacked alex is just geting lazy and sick of not making money cause they dont want to charge by the hour they charge by the job or atleast thats how it was with me

That's why I went to them for my head gasket. $500 for a head gasket and timing belt job, damn good price.

they told me they wont do a timing belt either anymore cause thats one of the things i need when i get this car running and i have the parts already

That's one of those things that is definately not easy to do yourself.

im sure i could figure it out fairly easly but i dont want to mess with something that could blow my motor to hell 0 clearance motors suck ass ford or chevy you can be off a tooth or two and not destroy anything

Timing is easy if you take off the driver motor mount.

And you can be off a tooth, maybe two and not bend anything also.

It's really quite simple once you have to do it a few times

That really sucks about Dogbox not wanting to do anything anymore. I have nobody down here. but if I need anything I will just go to PT. I trust Rich there was just a couple of workers he had I didnt trust in the past. My brothers WRX has gone to PT for everything he has had done, and its alot, and he hasnt had a single problem.

And Like Fil said one great thing about them is you go to them enough and alot of the time they dont even charge you for littlrestuff or they knock the price down for you.

my trans is finally done im gunna get my ass out there and get it and be home i'll take pics of everything when i get home but i am done with dogbox racing after this...
if you need a trans and dont mind waiting 3 months for the work to be done then they are great otherwise go tre or shep

I know in the past my buddy was bugging them to fix his 1g laser and they started giving him an attitude charged him a lot of money and didn't really do much.

When I talked to Alex he seemed delighted to build me a trans and told me he'd have it done in a few days since I'm local.

i dont klnow what you guys are talking about. they difinatly still tune cars, i actually was supposed to go to them last week for a dyno session, but then i had problems with my car. and no, they wont touch a hacked car cause its a pain in the ass. my labor rate at my shop is 65/hr, if you did something yourself, its 100/hr. just because trying to figure out what someone else did sucks, and takes forever fixing what they did. but as far as i know they still do motors and everything else.

I NEED AN OPINION. ... ok, my turbo is F***ED up... and i dont feel like waiting for a rebuild. so here is my question, i have an account with forced performance, and i am going to order either an FP Green or FP Red. i am tossed between the 2. any suggestions? i am ordering on mondey, so any help would be GREAT... i really want the RED, but im trying to talk myself out of it, i just feel its uneccsarry. but then again, i am now in a pissing contest with am EVO and he has a green. so should i just sa F it and get the red?

Hmm, can't say I didn't see this post coming. . I would say go with the green, 7cm. It flows at an insane amount for a 2.o liter. You are way lighter than the Evo. If you have the same turbo, you would have even more bragging rights when you spank him.
