My car has been down since may and this project is just giving me such a damn headache and im starting to get impatient. Especially now since i just started college and im a single father so money is tight and i need a DD again. No matter how much im trying to get away from DSM's it just seems like i cant go without the AWD and Boost (daughter enjoys the eclipse also). Ive tried looking for a WRX, SRT4 within my price range and i just cant seem to find a 4 door boosted car for cheap! . Looks like ive got some thinking to do..

You got a good point there. I just hope that there will be clean DSMs like the one I posted when the time comes again.. :-(

Whats wrong with the one you have now? I had a 95 GSX for 10 years like the one you have. That 97 that you're looking at IMOP is a little over priced. Since it's at a dealer, that explains the price. I noticed there were no engine photos. Check for strut tower rust if you decide to go look at it. Good luck.

Thanks, im going to need it. That 97 i have already checked it out. No shaft play on the turbo, ALL BONE STOCK. Strut towers were Immaculate. I would like to go Tomorrow and do a BLT and as well as a compression test on it to see how strong the engine really is with all that mileage. Only thing is it doesnt have is the LSD rear end like my current 95 does . And yes the price is kind of high as to why i am kind of undecided on this aswell. Maybe i should just get a honda/toyota since i would like a 4 door (makes it easier with my 3 year old). But like i mentioned in the OP, i just cant seem to get away from a DSM, its like a good piece of ass . Once youve had it you just want more and more and more haha.

As far as the current GSX, well just alot of odds and ends missing. Bolts specifically and its driving me nuts. This was my first build and i should of kept things more organized. So i know its my fault. Im having a little trouble putting it all back together is all. I pretty much have almost everything that i need for stock set up, but i thought since i spun the rod bearings i might aswell upgrade turbo and such now that its out. So what i was thinking is selling this one and starting over from scratch on a bone stock running gsx since i gathered parts from both generations for my current build (all compatible btw)

ya man sell if it need be.....there will always be cars waiting for you man....even if you have to build from the grund up you know whats going into it. If I had cash thats whay i would do..
