Well i put my x3 racing ghetto ebay coil-overs on the other night with my tokico blue series shocks and put it to the full drop and didnt realize when it said will drop 4" it droped it like 6-8 OMG I cant even roll a soda can under it, now i camber kits should be here today but is there anything else i have to worry about besides the obvious bottomin out?
Also my friend mentioned maybe i should go with air cylinders he said there like bags but better that way i can just adjust when i see ruff spots, well what i wanted to know is if anyone on here has them and how they ride?

Thanx

You CAN'T drop an Eclipse 6-8 inches. Its absolutely impossible. 4 inches would put it on the ground, literally. And I'm pretty sure an air system is really expensive.

Plus air ride cars ride like shi t. The ride is rough, and the price isnt worth it. They weigh a ton also.

If it is dropped that much no camber kit will save you.......Plus you are going to accelerate the destruction of your CV Shafts. I would lift it up a little

i'm still laughing at the idea of lowering an eclipse 8 inches...

haha, yeah, most people do 2 inches max, 3 inches is tucking, and 4 is on the ground. maybe 5 max but you'd have to seriously modify the suspension and cut some of the frame. newb's!!!! ha!!!!

igs, i've been here longer than you, so technically, you're the noob to me. on "MY" setup, i would be tucking. i have 1 finger all the way around on my sprint drop which is 2-2.25 inch drop. and with the 18's on 40 series tires, i got 1 finger all the way around. so if "I" were to go down another inch, to "3 inche drop", i would be tucking. sorry i didn't clarify it for the guy asking or for the "noob" asking.

im down about 4 inches on 16's and you can just see the top of my tires. if you have 15's yuo might be able to do 6, i think

DUDE... no way you can see the top of your tires if you are down four. i'm about 2.25 with 55 series on 16" rims , and i have about 1 finger. So to add almost 2 inches to that you would have to be running a 20 series tire or something and you would still be tucked just barely... also witha 97' the body panels would be about an inch off the ground on the side.... anyways, i'll shut up.

your car would last about a week one inch off the ground. Your body panels must have hardly any paint and smashed to hell. how do you drive around oneinch off the groud? live on a race track? :)

I was bein sarcastic about the 6-8" , LOL but yea im on 17"s with 40 series and droped teh coil-overs full and cant roll a soda can and the tires arent tucked..., Anyone know anything more about Air cylenders and bags?
