Timing Cover Removal/Help

Ok, searched can't find what i'm looking for.

I'm doing a headgasket swap on my 96 Talon Non-turbo.

How do i remove the timing cover? I cannot get the motor mount bracket remvoed because those bolts are lik 5 inches long and there isn't enough room to remove them all. I have 2 of the 3 out, and there is no way i'm gonna get that 3rd one out and i can't get the engine high enough for it to clean teh fender. What the hell am i missing? nor can i find any tech advice on the net detailing this.

Does the engine have to be pulled? I'm getting close to doing that to make it easier, but i'd rather not if i don't have to.

I just need to that cover off, so i can get the head off teh block.

i pulled the whole engine for a head swap and seemed like it made life easier. i dont know if this site will help you but i followed it and it came in handy along with a chiltons manual for like 18$ from auto zone. pulling the head isnt as bad as putting it back in, i would suggest leaving the crank pulley off and the altenator just to give you some room, and i jacked my tranny up a little to allow the engine to drop.

i might just have to pull it then, that suck ass... I'm used to working a V8.. much easier...

I have a Chiltons manual, not helping much.. just says "remove bolts".... "duh"

one of my friends came up with a good idea i might try..

drill a hole through the fender well to get at the last bolt, use a grommet to plug it up...

certainly easier than pulling the fricken motor...
