testing resistance on shift solenoids

how do i test resistance on shift solenoids i found some 93 N/A 1g solenoids and want to see if they are 3ohm or 12ohm what is the procedure to test if they will work for my 2g (12ohm needed) i have a digital multimeter

I have been wondering this as well and have not found a definitive answer.
 
Resistance on the ones I tested were 5ohm on the pressure solenoid, and like 25ohms on the shift solenoids.
