Test pipe questions

Hey all...just a couple questions about test pipes.....

1.) Do they really add alot of power?
2.) My car is 1991, will it be checked for emissions and then fail since it will have the test pipe?
3.) Will it make my car run richer?

I wouldnt say a test pipe adds alot of power, it frees a little bit; your car would fail the visual inspection of a emissions inpection wouldnt it?? cuz there is no cat there. well thats my input

You will run okay, and depending on what kind of shape your catalytic converter is in, you could get some decent power out of the deal...but if you are living somewhere that tests emissions, then look out. Lucky for me i am in Idaho, and anything with a windshield, windshield wipers, working head/tail/signal lights can be registered on the streets......without emissions testing
