I was wondering if anyones cars temperature gauge moves around at all. My gauge was always reading really hot so I got the radiator cleaned and replaced the thermostat which really helped but now and again it will creep back up to about 3/4 to the top. Is this normal? Suggestions to fix it?

Yea, i have the same damn problem. my temp gauge needle moves like crazy, it creeps up to the top one minute, then back to normal in just seconds. Hell its even had the eratic up and down movement.

Mine runs around 180 normally but in heavy traffic or long drives in the city it goes up to 205 or so so yea that is normal

My Talon never overheated. Always went right to half and stayed there. When I first got my Laser it would get to about 3/4 on the highway, but was fine around town. Then I replaced the thermostat, put in a better condition radiator, and wired up the A/C fan to come on with the regular fan and I never even get to half way now. It stops at about 3/8 of the way all the time, no matter how hard I drive it.

my car was getting so hot it looked like my needle was gonna wrap back around i got a thermastate (sp?) hopefully that will help some what
