I also forgot the mention that volvos do like to use mitsubishi turbos. My friend has a volve 20 valve 2.5 liter and it came with a mitsubishi 15g. Yes i said 20 valve.

Are you kidding me?? THATS THE WASTEGATE ACCUATOR! cmon guys. The difference is its silver. I dont see how you guys think its the bov. That nipple runs to a vaccum line and then to whatever is controlling the boost. I know you guys know better than that.

We aren't talking about the wastegate. We're talking about the two holes in the 3 bolt flange, to right of the wastegate, near the turbo outlet. (look at the first pic) He says the BOV bolts up there. The one in the picture has it removed.... his is still installed.

:talon:

I'm pretty sure its a BOV, my eyes dont decieve me! :sneaky: I'll get some pictures hopefully tomorrow and post them on up. Its obvious if you see it bolted up.

Volvo's dont use bov's they use crappy bosch bypass valves anyway.
Mitsubishi uses bypass valves stock too, but I'm sure you'd call it a BOV in casual conversation too. Don't get all technical cause you weren't paying attention and somebody made you look dumb. You're just making yourself sound worse.

Yes I know mitsus use these. All I'm saying is that they leak at lower psi on the older volvos. I didn't mean it to sound like that. I wasn't trying to get "technical".

Thread necro here! i just picked up one of these TD05 12B turbos with no shaft play real cheap! i know its not a bad ass turbo or anything but would it be ideal for running a small 5-8PSI on my 420A?
