Well I've been told my alternator is bad so I am trying to take it off to be tested and if needed replaced. However i can't seem to get it off the bolt that's holding the alternator is half out and won't come any further I can get pics if needed.

Lots off wiggling, and make sure all your bolts are out..

you could have tested on the car by taking one or both of the terminals off the battery..If the car dies the alt is bad..

I actually just ran into this problem yesterday, get some vice grips and twist and pull.

loosen motor mount and lift motor a bit to give you more space and leverage i also suggest a smaller wrench but its just the tension bolt and the bottom bracket bolt that you have to loosen and take out.

if i remember correctly i removed all but one bolt out of my alternator bracket, removed the bolt holding the alternator, slid the alternator up and out of the bracket, then removed the bracket the rest of the way.

after that was out of the way i wiggled the alternator out between the axle and subframe and did it all in reverse for the install. kinda sucks but didnt take more then an hour start to finish.
