Switch harness out?

I was just wondring, if you had a 2g car, and you swapped in a 6 bolt engine from a 1g, would you have to make the obdII system obdI?? If so that is alot of work. Like taking out the diagnostic port, the harness and everything.

No all you have to do is wire the CAS to the ecu...But if you do just the 6 bolt block no extra wiring is needed...you still use your 2g ecu regardless..

Wouldnt you still have to use the 1g ecu? If i had dsmlink, would i still have to wire the cas to the 2g ecu (looking at what i just wrote, and answered myself, yes). The dsmlink inverts the CAS so all you would have to do is switch the plug wires around.

You stil use the 2g ecu and what you wrote you have just confused me but yeah you just wire the CAS to the 2g ecu..

I confused my self too. , i guess the only question was about the ecu, because i answered myself, and then i stated that the dsmlink inverts the cas.
