Thanks bro. Theres just nothing to update. The car has been complete for a few years now and has given me no headaches. I did everything I wanted to and enjoyed it. But it just sits mostly. Its just time to move on from it.Damn, was hoping to see more updates on the car. This is the second thread I’ve gone through beginning to end to then see the car being parted out or sold.
Wish I could afford the trans
I was hoping for more. I know the gsx is the cream of the crop. But u snap an axle In this you can still get aftermarket parts. U break that awd system.... good luckNearly 18k for a fwd, that's not bad.
One thing I agree with is cars running off the assembly. The technology and modding now. I still have my evo 8 that I will be holding on to for quite awhile caus mint evos are going for dumb money. But earlier this year I bought a 2018 amg E63s. That thing has everything I could ever want with a 600 hp monster under the hood that will leave a Porsche gt3 in the dust. And if I want more it's a simple flash tune that increases hp and tq without any modsThe relative fact that in 5 years or less, OE parts will be nigh impossible to find for any variant of the DSM is the exact reason why you didn't get more. These just aren't highly sought after. We aren't having our doors broken down by potential buyers. Everybody with money is weary, and rightfully so. I think the only reason you got what you did was because of a paper trail.
18k USD for a 24 year old modified car with traction issues is pretty epic.
Today, there's plenty of cars that are rolling off the line that will dust a modest DSM on the strip.
Two entirely different classes. The one you just linked to is almost a museum piece and doesn't apply. The likelihood of you running into a buyer, or set of, willing to pay anywhere near that after even a simple BOV mod is slim to nil.Eh idk man. I think there's a market for em. The car they listed before mine went for 27k and didn't even meet the reserve
I was just showing you the most recent one. I can post the 91 talon completely modded with 126k miles that sold for 46k. That's no where near a museum piece. But I digress. Two entirely different classes. The one you just linked to is almost a museum piece and doesn't apply. The likelihood of you running into a buyer, or set of, willing to pay anywhere near that after even a simple BOV mod is slim to nil.
On the other note, I too had a used performance German saloon for a little while. Half the mileage of my 91 DSM at the time and more problems ::
Anyhoo, suppose it's time to shutter the build thread and move on to other things
