Hi everybody, so i own a 1999 eclipse gst auto transmission. I'm going to try my best to describe my issue.
So when accelerating somewhat slowly my car makes a strange noise which i would describe as a rattle (brr-der-der-der) for a split second. It doesn't always happen and I've tried recreating the noise for others but I'm the only one who's ever heard it. It's coming from what sounds like the passenger side wheel well but it could be more towards the engine compartment. It only occurs at around 40-50 mph and is accompanied by a slight drop in rpms from high 2ks to low 2ks. after it makes the rattle the rpms return to normal as if nothing happened. the only other issue ive noticed with the car is at slower speeds the rpms kinda bounce around if not acclerating like the car wants to shift to a different gear almost.
Any help or theories would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
