I installed a fuel pressure gauge outside of the car, mounted on the hood. Stock fuel pump (I think) it read 50+ at wot. I thought that without a re-wire you should lose voltage, therfore losing pressure. Or is that just with an aftermarket fuel pump? If I don't need to re-wire, that would just be one less thing to worry about. Any suggestions?

You don't rewire the fuel pump for pressure, you rewire the fuel pump for volume. The pressure is dictated by the Fuel Pressure Regulator. and hence 50+ is a good reading depending on your boost and the fact that the stock 1G Fuel Pressure is 36psi.

Sorry, I got in a hurry at work and did'nt give enough info. I am running 10 psi right now, cause of a slipping clutch. I have the pressure gauge installed in the fuel line before the rail. I have all the free mods, sans re-wire.

What is your base fuel pressure? Remove the vacuum hose from the FPR at idle and look at the gauge.

I got a 255fp in my car right now and my base is at 39, is it safe for me to rewire without over running the FPR? I just installed a B16G and I want the extra fuel for safety. I'm running 15psi on the stock injectors right now and EGTs are in the mid 800*C.
