well while I was finishing up the swap, I put the tranny on with no starter plate. I wasn't really thinking about it till now, since its time to start the project car. But I'm afraid because i don't know if i really needed that and if starting it will brake something. Sooo I'm asking whats will happen to the car if the starter plate is forgoten? I do have a starter plate but i cant get get the flywheel bolts off the n/t engine so I cant get to the plate. If i heat off the bolts will they loosen up? help me ###!!!!

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes you need the starter plate to properly align the bendix gear up with the ring gear on the flywheel while starting
