Does it die in forward and reverse?

-John

i havent tried drive because to get out of my parking spot i have to go in reverse before drive.

havent had a chance to check with the car all warmmed up cause it has been sitting for about a month waithing on a turbo. But would my tranny fluid even do that?

It sounds like the motor is meeting too much resistance. If the tranny engages too soon, or too harshly, then the symptoms would be similar to what you described. The amount/quality of the fluid could indicate what is happening.

k when i get the new turbo put in ill change the fluid and see what happens

I ask again- does it die in forward and reverse?

Low trans oil will cause this problem in dsms . Start the car set the parking brake and put car in neutral check fluid level......If low add but not over fill.:talon:

yeah i am going to change the fluid tomarrow if i get done putting the new turbo in it has been parked in my garage for a while ill let you guys know when i get the ATF and filter changed.

if your car stalls when put in to reverse or drive it could be your damper clutch. and if your damper clutch is inoperative it could be multiple things: like, torque converter gone bad, faulty valve body, faulty throttle positioning sensor, faulty pulse generator a or b, damper clutch control solenoid open, faulty oil temperture sensor or faulty TCU
this is a check list of what could be wrong
-hope this helps:talon:

k i got the car running it runs fine and doesnt stall any more but it still drops alot in the rpms from 1500 to about 750 and i still havent got around to changing the fluid and filter. The car will drop rpms when shifted into any gear but drives good, allthough i havent had a chance to really go through all of the gears cause i havent been able to leave the neighboor hood.
