Stalling From New Gauges/Indiglos

Wednesday I installed some indiglo gauges on my 94 eclipse. We were doing it in the dark so we had to have the interior lights on most of the time. As a result my battery died and the car would not start. I recharge the battery Thursday and the car starts, gauges work great, but the car now stalls. >..? I turned the idle up slightly which worked for about 5 minutes when it went back to stalling again... now the car will not idle at a stop at all.
Has anyone heard of a similar problem - diagnosis? Also is there some sort of meter in the gauges that went bad or was damaged in the process that could cause this...?

Well I had a similar problem but not from putting in the dash lights. I found that by disconecting the battery and letting the computer reset it fixed the problem. I know that if you battery won't hold a load it will also do some strange stuff like that also. Just a thought....

Yeah it just sounds like the ECU got reset. Whenever I disconnect my battery for extended periods of time (longer than 5 minutes or so), my ECU takes a day or two to "relearn" how to run the car, sometimes almost stalling it at idle.

thanks guys... yea the bat is charged, and i removed and reinstalled the dash then drove about 15 minutes to my dads and when i got off the highway it was werking perfectly
so ill just cross my fingers
