Hey guys so my car stalls from high rpm when I depress the clutch and let off the gas. The car is also running rich at idle (smells rich). I recently put on an eBay intake when this started. I forgot to plug my maf back in but plugged it in a mile later. Next day it started stalling on me and running rich. I've checked for boost leaks and fixed what I found (BISS Oring). My tps is fine and my IAC read 40ohms for pins 1-2 and 4-5 80ohms for pins 1-3 and 4-6. I bought a new one and it reads the same. I've tried reinstalling stock intake and still stalls. I'm lost in what could be causing it to do this now. The only way to keep it from stalling is setting my idle to 1k where my AFR smells normal.

My mods are hard intake, MBC, 1g bov

Sorry for the novel trying to give you guys as much info as possible. Thanks in advance

Check and see if you knocked anything else loose like coolant temp sensor. An air filter will not cause your issues unless you vented the bov in the process.

Thanks it was raining out here so I won't be out there last night. I checked my coolant temp and its attached. I took my Maf off to test and when turned upside down it sounds like there is a small broken piece moving around inside. I can't read any ohms from my maf. I'm thinking this is my excuse to install a gm maf?

Yeah not supposed to have stuff in there. I wouldnt get a GM maf, I'd get a Evo 8 MAF, they're less work to calibrate. I actually have a GM MAF too. Also the Evo maf would probably end up being cheaper since you wouldnt need the adapter cable, only the harness plug.

I'm to broke to buy ECMlink right now. The only ones I can find are >$500. Plus EPROM socket. I fount gm Mac and translator for 120 on eBay. I want to use link but I just can't afford it right now.

So you're saying the best way to go is use evo8 Maf with ecmlink and wideband. Thanks for the advice I'll go with a new stock maf and sort out piecing together a GOOD tuning setup. And read up more on it. I appreciate the help.

Yeah unless youre going for high HP, the simplest setup is the best. The Evo 8 MAF can keep up with most reasonable turbos and is the same type of signal as the stock maf, so theres less compensation needed. If you want more of a track car, id probably say to just go speed density.

So I installed new Maf and it doesn't smell rich anymore but it still stalls. Does my ecu have to adjust to the new mafs readings? I'm starting to think my timing is off. My idle moves from 8-900 rpm while idling and isn't smooth like I think it should be.
