I am toying with the idea of installing a Spool, or solid front differential, on my FWD 1g car. They say they are not supposed to be used for daily driving. Has anyone had experience with using a Spool diff. on a fwd car. I want to know if it really should not be driven on the street and why or why not. Im not affraid of some driveablility issues, but i want to make sure it wont do damage to the drivetrain when going around turns, and also if it would be a safety issue. Thanks a lot.

I would think steering would be a huge issue. We're going to try on one of our shop beaters for kicks, just going to weld it. I'll let you know how that goes.
