speed sensor malfuction?! help

My check engine light is on an i got it on the scanner an it said speed sensor malfuction i no my speedo dont work but that wouldnt have anything to do with my running running like shit would it?!?!

replace it and find out? it sucks not having a speedometer, i just had to fix mine.

as far as it making your car run like crap, mine is a 96 n/t as well and it doesnt run any different then when it was dead.

either way not having a speedometer is a safety issue, i would replace it if i were you, took me 15 minutes (and it only took me that long because i had to repair the harness that the d-bag previous owner hacked into for some reason)

by the way, i got my sensor out of u-pull-it for $7 and it works great, freakin autozone was the cheapest at $65
