So whats up with the TCUGO ppl?

You spent your first post on here to say that? Please don't bring that in here, i mean, if its true it's always nice to know. But no one needs to be called out in the middle of a good thread.

Has anyone gotten in contact with Hugo as to whether or not he's going to redesign this system, or is it just done until he finds a new parts distributer? I would hate to think he's just going to give up on this.

I already told you.

Are you not going to continue making any more TCUgo's? I have been paying attention to the website lately and I fear I missed my chance. Let me know please.

Yea, we know. Hes still looking for the parts. Hes been looking for the parts for like 3 months now.

Maybe in the near future the TCUGO will be back on the market. I remember last year when it was being created, all the buzz on ATDSM.org. I went to buy the one of DSMSource and my buddy bought it 5 mins before i PMed the guy :(

Trust me, you're not the only one wanting this. I'm half tempted to email him asking what he needs, and start digging so I can supply the guy with what he needs!

... that actually might be a good idea.

I'm going to shoot him an email. Anything to help out fellow A/T DSMers.

It's not like there are a few resistors that he can't find. I'm under the impression that one of the major components (EEPROM setup or wireless controller) went end-of-life on him, so a major redesign would be required to replace it. Not to underestimate Hugo, but I don't see that happening.

Very true. I suppose as a viable alternative, one could use something to the effect of a spiral phone cord on the column, so it could stretch and move with the steering wheel's movements. The wheel turns at most, 2.5 turns lock-to-lock? Paddles could also be mounted stationary on the column itself, much like a Maserati or some Ferarris.

Have you contacted them yet? I thought about it, but honestly I'm developing my own manual shifter with paddle shifts on the steering wheel. The wireless should not be a problem, let me know what he says, I might be able to help out.

I sent Hugo an e-mail earlier in the week with a question about mine, but haven't heard back. I'd guess he's busy with other stuff now (work, school, family), but don't know.

To be honest, there really isn't anything that special about his setup. He did take it a step further than most people would/do with having selectable shift pressure. The entire package is very nice, and the base price was reasonable, but add-ons added up quickly. Blue display + plug-n-play harness + shipping pushed it to over $400. I don't think he had a problem selling them though, as he obviously sold out his stock.

A solenoid pressure switch is pretty simple.. If he doesn't come out with his expect mine in a few months, for A LOT cheaper.

I'm interested to see what you've got planned - definitely keep us updated. Anything to keep me from performing the pseudo-manual valve body modification [because I do like to downshift without breaking things].

what exactly is the design on the box?
is it any different than the manumatic mods?
it just have two switches instead of them being on the stick?

wtfxor count me in, you already sold one just PM me.

The box on eBay is basically the ManuMatic mod in a pretty case. In the case of 1gs, you can use the Power/Economy switch to enable the system, where in 2gs you'd need to use the toggle switch [included with either option].

I haven't received mine yet, should be a day or two before it arrives.
