Looks like the prices have went up to around 900.00 on the evo3 turbos, which turbo would be a step up to that one that could make more hp in the future with cams and other mods? I have a 90 laser fwd and i dont' care about et, i just want a sleeper car that i can drive on the street and have good roll on performance from 60-70mph. I just want to pick on all the newer mustangs,challengers,z28's that normally run 109-113mph stock. Of course a bolt on turbo that uses the factory style manifold would be easier, but if that's limiting too much i can upgrade to something else. I will use only 93 octane and never any race gas. I would like to keep the car very drivable. Thanks

The E3 is still $699 at Forced Performance.

I was told that that price is no longer being offered last night. They probably just havent updated it. ExtremePSI released their price isnt valid any longer either.

And to the OP, you can always run a 14b w/7cm housing :)

    I ran a hybrid 14b/16g (found a blown 16) and loved it.

i understand slight increases, but from 500-575 a few months ago to 900-925 within a month?? I called a couple places and they said the prices on the websites aren't true anymore and they went up in price. I just figured for 950-1200 i could get something that can run well on pump gas and still have some descent boost response. I've been looking at the fp green/red and the hta68, holset hx35 too. I just don't need something that is made for 30-35psi. I had several dsm's back in the early to mid 90's and the 16g was most popular, seems there are so many options now and everybody wants some huge dyno number.

Are you oblivious to the fact that all MHI turbos sky rocketed in price due to that tsunami? Research before you post.

If you really want a E316g, scoop up a used one (God knows there's plenty) and rebuild it. You'll save even more money going this route.

A T3 HX35 is another great, affordable option, and you can bolt it on your stock exhaust manifold using one of the $40 ebay adapters.

What are the pros and cons on going this route with the adapter?

I just sold my 18G today for $300. I know of a few other 20G's for sale for $350ish. Both turbos will easily put you in the 115mph zone.

Pros: The adapter is cheap. The turbo is cheap, plentiful, and a good performer.

    Cons: None.

No. They will not fit with any adaptor.

    Best opting is a treadstone/godspeed t3 cast mani, a 1/2" header flange and a hx35.

Or no spacer and a HY35.

Why not? Water pipe clearance? A local friend is running a GT35 with a 2G manifold and that adapter, and he makes it work. So, I'd assume it would be the same drill to fit the HX35.

No the exhaust side is huge! It takes a 1/2" spacer to clear on a turbonetics manifold.

thats the route im going after been done with my old e316g set up. lots more potential to unlock.
there you go who knew the answer was that simple :D
lock at clasiffides on the forum theres dime a dozen for great price.

its not the turbo choice that will get you your results at the end of the day its how you build around it to compliment it. and if you want a sleeper, well, our cars dont really stand out among the croud unless you paint it neon green with decals and a huge wing, but what douche bag would do that :hmm:ROFL
or you simply spank everything in your side of town for 9 months strait then everyone knows you LOL

Because the new turbo mhi turbo you buy was made in japan at least a year ago. Most of the major suppliers have a stock of them. When they re-stock, the price is sometimes higher.
