It's going to look crazy with the orange turbo peeking out the front, what size return are you guys using?

Yes it looks really good. I will have to get some pics up with the bumper on it changes the whole look.

We are ruining a -10 return line.

Quick little update with pics :)

Turbo is on Rad setup is almost finished and all welded.

We changed the Wastegate setup from a tial 60mm to running twin tial 38mm wastgates.

Yes it will be ran on the streets. We will be coming up with some sort of cover for the turbo while were on the streets.

Yah I was thinking of putting some kind of sticker in that area with some kind of saying, We will have to see tho.

I'm with everyone else who likes the orange, especially on that Holset! :hellyeah:

Very nice! I have to ask though, why the 2G ECU?

Well if you have ever worked with v3 you should know it is hands down the most user friendly system out there. Yes we tune a lot of Evos on Ecu flash and some even switch over to AEM EMS but with ECMTuning helping out we wanted to be different and get a 2g ecu in the Evo. The Evo now drives like its on a stock ECU makes amazing power and took no time at all to tune. I have drove and built a few cars and this is by far one of my favorite ones I have owned Even better then my Evo X that made 440hp on an very expensive setup compared to a cheaper holset build that is making way better power. We could not be happier now just need to get the suspension dialed in and get some track time with her to be ready for this years events.

Awesome!! So excited for you guys to have the car running!!! What kind of boost levels are you guys at?? I cant wait to see some track times and dyno numbers!

We are only on 25 PSI on E85 and this thing is a monster. Right now im flowing between 49-52 lbs a min and its hard to keep traction. On the stock wheels its no luck at all and on our race rim with toyo Ra1 slicks its still breaking them loose in third. I was planing on running 30+ psi but I think that can wait until we get it on the dyno. I dont think my goals of mid 500whp will be hard to get. funny thing is this turbo setup is about to change again so keep posted.

Amazing!!!

0o0o0o Hx40 pro!??!?!? :hellyeah:

nope not exactly... Better :) something that hasn't really been done/tested to its full capabilities but I have been told it should be a 65lbs+ a min turbo and spool like a 16g :)

Very nice setup, Im jealous of the dual Tials.

How are the driveshaft bushings holding up?

Thanks.

And drive shaft bushings? The solid driveshaft bushings or do you mean the carrier bearings in the driveshaft?

Sounds like somebody might be trying the Midwest Turbo Connections 16g hybrid turbos...

No 16g for me actually will still be Holset powered.

Good news is we should have some numbers this wednesday when we take it to the track so keep posted.

Well I know it has been a while since an update so here it is.

We had a grinf in 5th gear when we bought the car and the whole trans finally let go.
We took it down to TRE Trans and will be setup with there best Evo trans (stage 3), thanks TRE. Along with a HD Exedy disc. We also pulled the engine, the reason for this was a slight oil burn coming out of the exhaust only in vaccum this started when we swapped in the kelfords cams so we are leaning torwards valve stem seals so this engine will have a new head gasket.

Here are some pics that we took, the engine looks extremely healthy and the tune is spot on.

We will keep you all updated.

Great build but what's up with the shape of the carboned up area around the crown of those pistons? it doesn't look like it's intentionally shaped that way toi fit anything i've ever seen in an engine but maybe it s the pics playing troicks on me ??
