next up on the brakes is a set of rear 300c srt8 4piston brembos and 2 piece rear rotors

I have a mixed Brembo\3000GT VR4 setup.
I found a set of VR4 calipers in the local Pic-n-Pull for $20 a piece. Did the rebuild kit on them ($15 each), ground off the "Mitsubishi"raised letters, and then had them powder coated to match the EVO 8 Brembo rears ($75 for powdercoating w/clear coat). Also added hi-temp Brembo decals to match the rears.
$155 total for the fronts and $200 for the Brembo rears. The caliper mounting kit from RTM Racing was around $100.

I like how it was easy to mount, uses 13" rotors, and works awesome for - $455 total mounted f&r (not counting rotors)
Will be switching out the front rotors for some lightweight 2-piece ones probably next year.

gprix, do you have a link for the mentioned caliper mounting bracket? Those rotors fill up the (assuming 17") rims quite nicely, love it .. Damn, I'm going to have to start making more money.

once i manage to hit about 400 awhp (which relies heavily on my shitty tune) brembos are next on the list
then paint....
then carbon fiber hood/hatch...
then oh shit the list just goes on who am i kidding.

I used the VR4 hardware package from RTM Racing and yes, those are 17" rims. The caliper is less than 1/4" from the rim so this is definately the biggest setup you can do with 17's.

Great pictures man question why are some angled down and some are angled up? I thought the only way to do it was with the jdm gallant knuckles so why the different angles

While I realize they are not Brembo's I was going to post a pic of my Wilwood's just to add some pics (plus I think they are downright sexy) but it seems I dont have any pics of them on my phone!:ohdamn:

Here are a few pictures of the Brembo's on my Talon. I used the JDM knuckles to mount them over 3 years ago. Haven't had a single problem.

God I hope there's a write up on this swap! Those wheels are filled nicely are they 17s?

I love the way Brembo brakes look on these cars. My busy has a set of Wilwoods on his tC they look great as well but the name Brembo just has a better ring to it in my oppinion :)
