That's because your car is lower, smaller fendergap can play tricks on you as to how big wheels are.

wudd up ! well i gots some 5zigen FNO1RC wheels 17x8 +43 w/ 235-45 BF Goodrich G-Force Sport tires. . . handles awesome and i gots a GST hahaha what better way to get more traction on those TWO front wheels. . . LSD next for me! But check them out there hyper black and weigh 17lbs. . .
