i am seriously considering selling my Gst in favor for a 1997-1998 Tsi Awd.

i figure i can get around 14k for my Gst [47k,5spd], and then i'd look to spend around 10k for a Talon.

so far, most of my performace upgrades are just sitting in my room, and all of the parts that are installed [boost gauge, TT] can be moved over to the new car.

i know there have been several people on the forum that have done it. [larryD, i think.] are the insurance rates about the same? i am just looking for some input.

That sounds like a good plan. Insurance is based on LBS/HP, so it really doesn't matter which body style DSM you choose, they are all Sports Cars (except 1g 1.8's and for some reason the 1995 RS).

if u can.. do it.. larryd did.. and so did i.. i wish i could keep both cars though.. the GST is a great car.. good for freeway/roll runs and some nice burn outs.. but u will like the AWD.. good luck on ur decision..

well said. nothin like slippin the clutch outta first gear, slippin into second and spending the next half hour trying to dig urself outta ur seat.

Com'n buddy you have a 99 GST Spyder, that thing has to be a bi*** magnet like no other. I say keep the GST

it's a nice car, don't get me wrong. but i know i will get more for my money [in terms of 1/4 times] with the talon. and also, if i get the talon, i will have an extra 4k in mods to spend. =)

that is my reasoning. besides, i wanted the awd version to begin with.
