Seriously thinking about getting a stroker kit for my 2g but i need help please

My 2g 7bolt crank walked, i found a 6bolt i wanna swap but now im thinking of keeping the 7bolt and making it a 2.3l beast, Any one herd of 7bolt strokers crankwalking is it even a good idea? Or should i just go with the 6bolt and stroke it later?

Get the 6bolt and stroke it later. A walked engine is NOT worth rebuilding. Maybe if you were replacing it with cheaper stock parts (not that it is cheap), but an all-out stroked monster should be built with a 6bolt. I am not biased, as I have a 7-bolt right now, just stating an opinion most share.

If i had a 6bolt with destroyed internals should i attempt to rebuild it??? (givin that i would replace the crank of course) Or would it walk like the 7's???

Take the block to a machine, engine shop that knows what is going on. Have them inspect the block and tell you if it is worth rebuilding.


If it was my dime I would buy a used 6 bolt that has had maybe a snapped TB and work with that. Becuase when you say "DESTROYED" I am thinking that you are talking about a block that has been all F'd up.

mybe just bad main and thrust bearing, posibly some metal in oil, maybe some bad piston rings
