just did some electronic work, and removed the stearing wheel... aribag thingy, then when i put it all back, the srs light is on... whats the deal? Is this one of those "disconect the battery to let the ecu reset" kinda problems?

thats what i would do and if that don't fix it or if it comes back on alittle later then i would retrace what i did and make sure that all the conections are back in just right. bye chance did u have the key on when u were working on it? if so then it prolly just shot the code then.???? try it and let us know. peace and good luck

I did the same thing with my airbag when I pulled the harness off with the battery connected. Unfortunetly, disconnecting the ecu won't work, I believe the airbag is a different computer. The only way to reset the SRS computer is to have the dealer clear the code (my mechanic's scanner couldn't clear it thanks to Mits.). I had to call a couple of dealers before I found one that would clear it for $30. Most were trying to charge $80-$100 to clear the code.
