For those that aren't familiar with Model As:

Built from 1928-1931, about 5 million world wide.
40hp inline 4, 200 cid
6V system, generator, not alternator.
Manual spark advance
Manual choke
Manual mixture
Mechanical brakes. That means metal rods, levers, and wedges.
3 speed, but no synchonizers, can you say double clutch
No starter solenoid
No thermostat
No air filter or oil filter
Body is metal nailed onto oak frame
Roof is fabric on oak bows
Silver plated headlight reflectors (Silver is more reflective than chrome)
Interior is Bedford wool from LeBarron Bonney
Gauges consist of Ammeter, fuel float, and Speedometer.
Spark plug wires are copper straps
500 mile oil and lube interval
Updraft single barrel carb
Top speed quoted at 65mph, but you're going 65 with no seat belts, no crush zones, no air bags, and mechanical drum brakes.

Wow it’s amazing how far transportation has come in such a short time. Thanks for sharing this.
