I can answer questions now!!!!!!!
I went to the round 7 event in oakland so now I can answer your questions. Round 8 is august 11th at "crows landing" in stockton or something so I won't be going. But round 9 is back in oakland so lets get some dsms out there.
Its 35 buck per run session. Run sessions are 3-4 runs depending on number of people. You could do 5 run sessions at most (175 bucks for 15-20 runs)
scca membership is required. 1 year is 60? but a weekend pass is 15. Therefore its 50 bucks to go once.
Latest you can show up is NOON. Don't show up later. You don't have to show up at 8am though.
Fun runs basically allow you to run any time you want but then you wont get championship points. honestly though, its round 9 so your not winning anything. You can always compare times at the end anyways. Novice class is what people should run in for their first 3 times according to SCCA.
This is a run/work format so you run in one session, then "work" in another session. "Working" consists of picking up cones people knock down, OR radioing in who knocked down what cone, OR waving a red flag when someone spins and blocks traffic. I was put on flag duty last time at station 1, so I didn't do a single thing. I stood there and held a flag behind my back.
