I recently bought a 2gen eclipse and both passenger side and driver side floor pans are all rusted. With minimal effort a screw driver can go right through. The rear is in great condition it’s just the front floor pan that’s rusted. I was wondering what should I do? I found a 3rd gen eclipse floor pan and I was wondering if I could just weld that piece in. Please help me out

the only problem I have is it doesn’t ship to Chicago which is where I’m from, they only do pick ups from California or Florida

I'm currently parting out a gsx because a damaged floor pan. My opinion is it isn't worth the time and money to replace the pan. I found a great shell to swap all my parts to though. Since these cars are unibodies, you'd be cutting out of the structure, and to make sure it's perfect, would require a lot of bracing to ensure the frame doesn't twist while welding in the new pan. Having a shop do it right, would require a lot of money. Weigh your options before you make a final decision.
