so the genius that had the car before me rounded off one of the flywheels bolts almost completely. does any have any ideas on how to get the bolt out? Its the last bolt holding the fly wheel on and i really need it off so I can finish taking the crank out. Thanks
Sean

I've never had any luck with those sockets. I'd also suggest the "weld on a nut" method.

I don't know if the Bolt-Outs would grip well enough for a flywheel bolt's worth of torque. But it'd be worth the $20 test, I'd say.
Did you try the Vise-Grips, sized Big Gnarly?

They work, I've used them on flywheel bolts before.

Take a torch and heat the bolt head till it's almost red. This will expand the bolt and help release it from the flywheel. Using your handy dandy impact driver and reverse thread bolt removal tool. You know the ones with the left cut spirals, give it a hard rap with a good sized hammer and it should just come out. Be careful with the torch and use a welding tip. You only want the bolt head to get real hot. Not anything else. I've removed a bunch of them that way. This of course is assuming that the threads are intact and not crossed or stripped.

Good Luck

weld a nut on, best way hands down.

or you can try your luck with the bolt out crap which im not a big fan of.

The bolt out crap worked like a charm. Alot less hassle then welding on a nut.
