Roll Call: Race Wars

Bones and I were both there but neither of us raced.

I started having a oil issue on the trip up there. I think it is a sending unit going bad but was not sure and was not going to chance anything. Kind of weird the car holds pressure according to the guage at idle and cruise but soon as I step on it pressure on the guage goes down.

I was there. I raced an Integra with a B18C5 swap. My clutch slipped in 2nd so I let off for a sec to let it grab then it slipped all of 3rd but I didn't let off that time. Luckily he sucked at driving so I still beat him by like 4 car lengths. Too many people, too many wrecks, and the wait in line was ridiculous because people kept losing control. I was in line to race a EF hatch with a b18b1 turbod but then they ended before 8 for some reason so we just waited in line for like 2 hours and then had to leave.

Cool I saw you race then. Atleast the time I saw you, you were in the right lane.

We left around 5. I was rather disapointed with how things were setup and the parking really pissed us off. Bones and I both have Cai's installed and the filter points right at the ground. Mine will be off this afternoon for a good cleaning.

Please tell me someone got a pic of the dsm that was buried in the dirt out in the parking lot. We forgot the cameras on the way up and did not get any pics.

Ya parking kinda sucked and it was hot and there was alot of confusion when it came time to race, but thats Race Wars. There were ALOT of cars there, more than was to be expected. There are already plans in the works for the next on, like a true return lane, people not pushing there cars up to race but driving them up when there in the staging lane and alot more. I was very dissapointed with the lack of DSM's however. Maybe next time?

What does pushing your car have anything to do with it? If things were organized and ran smoothly then people wouldnt have to wait over 2 hours to make a run. We were there around 3 and left the staging lanes around 8 and only got one pass in. Once we waited in line for another 2 hours after the first pass and made it somewhat close to the front, the "track" was no where near safe condition. I don't know whos bright idea it was to clean oil up with dirt, they should have been much more prepared for those things. It would be much easier for them to talk to track owners and rent the track for a day and hold the event there, they are going to end up hurting or killing someone out there.

I forgot that I had my phone to take pics, didn't think about it till we were gone. Plus I was busy trying not to get myself stuck. BTW, anyone want to make a contribution to help me replace my oil and oil filter (that got crushed during the offroad parking) that was just done the night before.

$.01:tease: and I will even throw in a cold beer for ya while I watch.

Landa, I would agree with you, renting out a track for the day would be a better idea. In the future it may come to that. There are places to improve, like I said, and Im sure they will it just takes time. Plus, I know they were not expecting all the cars that did to show up.
