rev/idle problem

Ok, I was installing my new UICP pipe and I 4got to put back that cast iron bracket that sits on the TB, well I kept screwing and it went threw its hole and now the other end is open. Well my problem is this. THe car started up fine and was idling fine before I drove it, but it it got warmed up real quick , but my idle was normal. So I take it out for a test drive and as soon as I start to give it some gas, it feels like my throttle cable came off, and the peddle was on the floor. So I turned the car off , and wiggled the throttle cable, then started car up again, and tryed to go, and giving some gas, it felt like I the cable came off, and now rpms are at 5grand, so I turn the car off quickly, and try to think whats wrong, well I had that lil plug unplugged its that male/female spade plug right next to the TB elbow, so I reconnect and start again, same thing happens , goes strait up to 5grand, and wont come down. My friend also says taht my Turbo sounded funny, so I dont know whats wrong, im out of ideas. SO please n e help or info that u guys might have , please let me know, cuz now I have no car, until I get this fixed. Thanks ,

If you have a logger or an afc check to see what your throttle position is reading at idle. Maybe your trottle cable is too tight.

It sounds like the plastic around the throttle cable is loose. When this happens, and you get on the gas, the sheathing slides out of the housing and then jams the throttle open.

You need a new throttle cable, if this is indeed the problem.

Next time it happens, while the pedal still feels disconnected, look under the hood at the end of the cable near the throttle body, to see if the cable is jammed.

Im having a similiar problem, I just got my car all back together and im getting idle surge. Theres some other things its doing id like to point out though. At an idle if i rev it wants to die out and drops to about 200 300 rpm's. Also it can rev up to 1500 on its own its pretty weird. I blocked off my egr, adjusted and sealed my BISS. Also cleaned out my throttle body and still nothing. Another thing that seems funny is when i let off the gas to shift the rpms hang for a second or two. Its really odd and before i go out and buy a new ISC i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?
