So I’m replacing my ecu in my 97 gst would there be any problem with any immobilizer/would I have to get it programmed or anything if I got one from a junk yard and slapped it in it
 
Direct swap. No immobilizer. They are different year to year. 2ga does not equal 2gb. They can be used but some changes need to be made. If you're looking for a direct swap 97 to 99 is what you need. However those do differ by design but not function. 98 and 99 use a "black box" ecu
