Edmonton,
Hey all! About a year and a half ago I bought an ACT 2100 clutch /w street disc and it's ran like a champ since then. However, about 2 weeks ago it started slipping occasionally so I'm looking to fix it. Can I simply grab a new clutch disc since that's what causes slippage? Or do I need an entirely new setup?

You can, yes its really going to come down what the pressure plate looks like it could have chips on the teeth or hot spots on the surface. personally id just buy a new pressure plate. and go ahead and get your flywheel resurfaced while your at it...

Yeah, I've had the pedal adjusted so it engaged just off the floor but it's "unadjusted" itself again and is engaging near the top of the pedal and is slipping again. I don't know jack about clutch assemblies though, so should I just go ahead and order the pressure plate? Or should I have it checked out first by my mechanic?

If the engagement point is moving, sounds like you are having the pedal pump issue. This will cause the clutch to slip. You should be able to adjust the clutch so it starts to engage about 1/3 rd off the floor, make sure you lock the nut down properly to hold your adjustment in place. You said you had it adjusted to engage fairly close to the floor so you may need to back off the stop at the top abit to get more travel out of the pedal. Pedal pump up can be hard on your thrust bearing as its like driving around with your foot half way on the clutch all the time, so this is something you want to get fixed ASAP, not to mention it will kill your disk.

Alrighty, I'll print off what you just said and see what I can dig up tomorrow. Thanks a lot.
