definently a newb question but when i remove the cat do i get an engine light, if so wouldnt it send it into closed loop and not use the o2 sensors, if so then does a s-afc still control the rich/lean?? that was about three different questions thanks for any help

a kid at school last year ran a straight back 3 " exhaust with no cat or muffler. His check engine light was on ALL THE TIME. it annoyed him so much, he took the assembly off and simply removed the bulb.

You may or may not get a CEL-- seems that each OBDII car reacts a bit differently. I'm pretty sure it doesn't go into "closed loop" though, but I'm not positive. If you continue to get CELs, there are a couple of things that can be done.

alright well im a while away form this yet because i dont have a S-AFC but i am gettin one soon and wanted to know if it still will work?? it must cause so many people run a test pipe and s-afc so it prob works
