Started up my new engine to find a massive oil leak, which after pulling my trans I traced back to the oil galley plug at the back of the block.

I did some research and found this thread highlighting what a massive pain it can be to get this sealed properly.

I've purchased a new plug but want to ensure I do whatever is necessary to seal it properly. What's recommended? Some say loc-tite, others RTV (The Good Stuff, Hondabond)? Pulling the trans immediately after having just dropped it in w/ the engine sucks...I don't want to have to touch this for some time!

You can also use Permatex high temperature thread sealant. Both would work.
