I have a '91 TSi AWD that I rebuilt the engine in.
2G pistons
big rods
BS removal
head rebuilt
3000gt vr4 fuel pump
no fuel control
Problem is that since the rebuild, the car smokes a lot. The engine has less than 200 miles on it since rebuild. It was down with a blown ecu for quite awhile and the gas in the car is about 8 months old. I know I am running rich, but also believe that there is some oil in the exhaust too. I dont know if I am burning oil from somewhere (head was rebuilt, HG is good, turbo is good) or if it is simply all from being way too rich. The vr4 pump is a pretty good upgrade, and the ecu hasnt figured the fuel trims out yet, I am sure.
I just dont know if anyone else has any ideas on what the smoke problem could be. I have a video of the exhaust. In the video I revved up to ~2500 rpms two times. Here is the video, please <right click> and <save as>
