My gsx started vibrating in the rear tonight, but its only when i am in 3rd gear or higher and only at 35+ mph. The only thing i have checked is the tire pressure. I have only owned this car for 5 days :|

check the drive shaft for play in places like the rear end and the carrier bearing. Also check the rear axels. Since you just got the car I would also change the rear end oil and look for metal in the gear oil.

Start with the simple stuff first. If it vibrates above 35mph does it go away at lets say 65mph 70 mph? If so chances are the tires simply need to be balanced. Thats usually the cause of vibration in most vehicles today.

Before everyone jumps to worst case scenario, check and see if your rear tires are balanced correctly. Chances are that is all it is espically if the vibration only shows up at about 35 mph.
