real lancer EVO in 2fast 2furious????

i seen the trailor for 2fast 2furious and i was just wondering if thats a real evo or is it a knock off like the 97 rs w/ T4 turbo like in FnF??? we all know it had a set of ceramic coated headers!! ... thanx guys, no BULL $H!T, i want facts!

Yes, its a REAL Evo VII. They imported 4 of them from Spain in preparation for the movie. Unfortunately, they are real. The tails are molded on, since regular evo tails don't wrap around the fender like the 2f2f evo does :-/

Yeah its definatly real, they imported quite a few cars i believe, including that one and the Opel speedster and theres another one but i cant think of it right now.

yea. they are real. i was watching the unvailing of the EVO in the US in cali at some show. they brought out the EVO and that ugly ass 3g spyder. they said it's an EVO and it's the same one in the movie. so unless mitsu lied at a national unvailing of the EVO, then it's real.

If you notice in F&F, when they pop the hood for the eclipse, there is not turbo or BOV, all you can see is a cold air intake and headers. If he did have a T3/T4, you would see the damn thing sticking out.

The movie it's pretty much for entertainment, so hardly your gonna see real facts on it, exmaple:
the 97 rs, who claimed to be a turbocharged, but maybe they made a better movie this year, but I still don't like how they transform the cars... IMO they could do better, but many stickers and neons seems to be more atracting...

yea when i first watched it in the movies i didnt know a whole lot about cars, but i could tell the dufference between a header and a turbo... and yea i seen alot of ### movies with rice rockets and they do a good job

i got pics of the evo from the new movie from the ny auto show. the exhaust is weird. it looks like a HUGE exhaust tip. maybe 5 or 6 inches in diameter w/ rust on the inside. i wish i could post the pics, but no scanner. sorry

getting up close would have nothing to do with it, you would have to look underneath it, and why the hell did they take the carbon fiber wing off, or leave it out, w/e, they put that dumb looking aluminum one on there and made it look ghay, and all the 3G's , every tool with think those cars are cool, same with evos, people will no longer respect there marvel, but now will mock them up cuz it was cool in the movie... i bet there were half as many riced out eclipse before the first movie.... but idk, i wasnt into the japp cars then, i had the porsche, was a great rice killer, lil bastards with there loud exhaust and 350 dollar wings (at the time). they give ya the ricer flyby.... f-that, the porsche made short work of those type of fools

The Evo7 never had a carbon-fiber wing, and if you look closer to the rear end, you'll notice that the altezza lights were molded on. I suspect they used regular Lancer Altezza lights and had them molded on, because they wrap around the fender, but the Evo7 tails don't wrap around the fender, due to the widened fenders. They pretty much ruined the car.

when u get upclose you can see the FMIC and considering it still had the red brembo brakes it definatly was either real or they did an awesome job replicating it. i have a strong feeling it is a real evo.

i just watched this movie, and i call fake on the EVO based on the tail lights... why would they mold regular lancer tail lights into it? that makes no sense... its more work to change to regular lancer than to convert to EVO... plus the gauges are different...

and in the new movie.. wit the new sti, when he wrecks it, there is not drivetrain in it when he flips it...
