I don't have a turbo, so I don't know, but do some BOV's sound like a backfire? I heard a new SRT-4 racing back and forth through the parking lot at my work last night using it as a track. No one was there, so it was cool ;) . Anyways, it sounded kinda like it was backfiring. This shouldn't be happening on a new car, so is it just the BOV? And if so, why the hell does it sound like that?

A BOV is a release of air so I don't see how it would sound like a back fire. But who knows.
