Question on intake manifolds and tb's

I was looking for information about intake manifolds and trottle bodys. I have a 2g and i think they are 52mm, i heard somthing about 1g manifolds fitting and they are 60mm, are these direct fits and will a aftermarket intake fit, is there a company that makes manifolds and TB's for a 2g that allows more air flow. Any information on these two would be great.

Not sure about the intake manifold, but Modern Performance sells a 60mm billet aluminum CNC'd throttle body.

The 2gnt is a totally different engine platform than the 1gnt,1gt and 2gt.

Outside of that... you can look at the site listed above, read up on the jeep throttle body mod (there's tons of threads already discussing it on this board), or check out places like 2gnt, howell automotive, and the like for other vendors offering tbs. I've not seen a place yet that has offered a different upper and lower intake manifold. Most everywhere just talks about porting and polishing a stocker.

No parts from a 1G will work with your 2GNT. However, Venom does offer a sheetmetal manifold for the 2G 420A Engine, and there are several TB upgrades, the most popular being the aforementioned Jeep TB.

yeah you have to get a 60mm jeep TB and modify it to fit on your manifold but you'd still need to port your TB.

The 420A TB is LESS than 52 mm haha there's a little hump or taper in there and it forms a little velocity stack that makes it less than 52mm. If you want you can just port and polish the hump out takes a long time though. just don't touch the stuff the throttle plate is on or else you'll get some goofy idling.

yeah i found the venom intake mani, and its a steal only like $600, yeah i am not gonna pay that much for one, i know someone is selling k2 ones that just came out, not sure if there any good there only $325 or somthing which isn't that bad but since there new i am unsure of how good they will be.

If I was you I would just wait until the Indy intake manifold comes out (45 hp gain for the neons, not sure if it was on the SOHC or DOHC) think its like $500 and combine it with the 60 mm TB......if you want to know more go to www.2gnt.com or go str8 to the source www.indyheads.com.And about the Venom intake manifold....not worth it because you would have to drill and fabricate it to actually make it fit.
