when i bought my 95 rs, it came with some headers in the back and dude that sold it too me said that all it needed was a flange welded onto it. I have the motor completely out of my car now and i have compared the headers to the stock manifold. The headers are longer and if a flange is welded on then it wont line up correctly with the down pipe. From the small amount of research i have done i think i have a cup ball joint or something like that, i just dont see how to connect it to the down pipe, any suggestion?

You will need to take it to a muffler shop and have them connect the exhaust to your header.

would your header be a 1 peice 4 to 1 header or a 2 peice 4 to 2 to 1 header, sounds like you might have a 4 to 1 and you can get these on ebay for about 89$ and they come with a down pipe to your cat and bolt up preaty good to your cat i will post a link for you http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-1998-EAGLE-TALON-ESi-420A-2G-STAINLESS-RACE-HEADER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem335759bf4fQQitemZ220508831567QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

here is the end of the header vs the end of the DP, i dont see how it to connect them

there is alot of shit attached to the DP and most of the bolts attaching everything are ridiculously rusted

take it to any muffler shop once you put the motor back in and have them connect it

Yeah, that's a pretty standard header for the 420A. You shouldn't have to fuss with welding anything. I'd pick up the cheapest one you can find on eBay. Then, just use the lower half of the eBay header if you have your heart set on using the blue one (though I don't know how long that finish will last).

i dont really care about the blue, i just want it to work

just found same header+appropriate DP for under 50 bucks, plus its silver which will look better with my intake, good shit, i shoulda just checked ebay first

Ebay has many parts for all cars.

I had that header and down pipe set up on my car before I went turbo. Very easy to put together. The down pipe just gets pressed into the header.

Be sure to tighten the bolts evenly. Don't just tighten down one side all the way first.
