Ok i looked at the tech article to help guide me. Helped me quite a bit. But a few ? 's ..

One of my shifter cables WONT come off.. its rusted on there. I have beat it to hell and back and it wont budge. Nailed it with liquid wrench multiple times. Wont budge. Also waht do I do about the transfer case. Do I disconnect it first from the tranny then disconnect the drive shaft.. or do i disconnect the driveshaft from the t-case then t-case from the tranny? .

You want to unbolt the t-case from the tranny, and then remove the driveshaft from the t-case. The t-case is pretty easy to remove, just make sure you find all 5 bolts. Once the t-case is off, the driveshaft will just slip right on out. This VFAQ has some good info on removing the tranny, you should check it out.

As for the stuck shifter cable, I wish I had some advice. Both mine slipped right off after removing the cotter pins. That sucks man! Keep beatin away at it, it has to come off.

Yea its pretty annoying right now. Slowboy hasnt even shipped my parts i ordered a week ago and they wont respond to my emails. Dont know whats up, i order from them every week it seems. Its been raining the past 2 days straight so I cant go down there and work on it, cars outside :notgood: Shifter cables are the only thing really holding me up.. need to fin 2 floor jacks tho to hold up the motor and tranny when i unbolt it. When i have all the bolts off is the tranny just going to slip off? Also the speedo cable, after taking the 10mm bolt off does it just pull out?

The tranny does sort of slip off, it sits on two pegs, be CAREFUL not to bust these, the tranny will slide on and off using them, without the dowel pins/pegs you will have issues.
It will slide about a 1inch or so towards the pass fender and than drop down after you slide it off the pegs.

On the shifter cable i got it off, well sorta. The rubber bushing stayed on but the metal o ring came off.... ohh boy. How do i pry that little thing off? Do i need new shifter cable bushings b/c that one slipped off?

just hit it with a 2inch cutting wheel and it will be done real quick then order the metal stiffening kit, you will be fine, might want to soak the conecting link with pb and hit it with a metal brush, good luck

ok on the driveshaft. Do i have to disconnect it from the rear diff? Or do i just disconnect the transfer case, and then it should slid out then? Or do i disconnect it from the rear, support it so it doesnt bend the front, then unbolt the t-case, then the front of the drivesahft? .... or do i leave the back alone and just do the front?

Remove the 5 bolts holding the transfer case to the transmission. Once they are out, slide the transfer case towards the drivers side of the car to get it off. A small prybar will help to get it started. Once the t-case is off of the car, simply pull the transfer case towards the front of the car, and the driveshaft will slip right on out. Tie the driveshaft up out of the way to avoid any damage from extreme angles, and then continue pull the tranny. Easy as that.

I'm having sort of the same problems as you are.....I can't seem to get the axle out of the transaxle on either side of the car. Is there any coaxing I can do or what? I'm not able to pull either of them off. Also, the lower control arms aren't coming off either,
